Type 1 Diabetes - What to Know

The Oklahoma Legislature has enacted a new law (Section 1210.196 of Title 70 of the Oklahoma Statutes) which requires information about Type 1 diabetes to be provided for parents and guardians of students.

The following information (see graphic) helps parents/guardians know what is Type 1 diabetes, the risk factors, warning signs, the screening process and more.

Parents/Guardians with concerns should follow up with their healthcare provider for an accurate diagnosis.
