FCCLA Members Attend District Meeting
The Oklahoma Union FCCLA went to the Northeast District meeting in Claremore. The district meeting theme was FCCLA Island. The Districts officers were installed as they led us through a fun time. Members brought ‘Friendly Fringes’ where they had to go meet new people and tell them their name, what school they were from and an interesting fact about them, then give their new friend a fringe.
Brenna Ray gave a power point about Nationals in San Diego where she won a gold medal in Recycle and Redesign. Logan Weber Northeast District First Vice President of Community Service and Augustas Lowrey, NE Dist. Vice President of Membership, led members in Popcorn. Mackenzie Sunday and Rylin Rouse represented us in the Poster Roll Call. MacKenzie Miner volunteered in a dance battle for our guest speaker, Gen. Y. Gen. Y told us how we need to stay positive in difficult times. The meeting ended with door prizes where Rylee Seely and Jessica Elms won gift cards. The day concluded with a meal at Charlie's Chicken.
