Welcome Lacy Hall as OKU Elementary Principal
Oklahoma Union High School Superintendent Brenda Taylor announces the hire of Lacy Hall as the new elementary principal.
Hall comes to OKU after serving as an elementary teacher, principal and counselor, most recently as a first grade teacher at Oologah Lower Elementary school.
Hall said the OKU community is what drew her to pursue the elementary principal position..
“OKU is such a special place,” Hall said. “From my first interview, I could immediately tell that the love and pride the teachers have for their school and community is so strong.
“I immediately felt at home and knew I wanted to become part of this school family.”
Taylor said she is excited to have Hall join the elementary school faculty.
“Mrs. Hall brings great energy, a heart for kids, and a real passion for supporting teachers and families,” Taylor said. “I know she’ll be a wonderful addition to our school community, and we’re lucky to have her on board.”
As the elementary principal, she takes over for Angie Murphy, who served as the principal for the past two years.
“I am looking forward to building meaningful relationships with the students, staff and families,” Hall said. “My hope is that our school will feel like a family...a place that supports, encourages, and challenges all of us.”
